Dr. Anuj Jain is a biomimic, tropical ecologist and engineer. He is the co-founder of the Biomimicry Singapore Network, where he conducts activities such as biomimicry nature walks, talks, workshops and consulations. Anuj is part of the Biomimicry Professional Certification offered by Biomimicry 3.8 and Arizona State University, USA. His expertise also spans in biodiversity conservation particularly bird and butterfly conservation, and tackling illegal wildlife trade. Anuj is the recepient of the Joan Mosenthal DeWind award for Lepidoptera Conservation by Xerces Society, USA and has served as the Chairperson of Nature Society (Singapore)’s Butterfly & Insect Group from 2012 – 2016. He also teaches a butterfly habitat design course for CUGE, National Parks Board Singapore.
